Marriage (nikah) is a serious and sacred social settlement between happy couple. Both speacial couple have the independence to express different terms and conditions of their choice and make them an element of this agreement. A individual may inquire; what's the significance of Nikah? Lots of people consider it as just as a genuine method of satisfying one's desires. Is this right? In the Light of the Qur’an and Sunnah what should one understand about the privileges of the wife and husband? How must a husband react towards his spouse and how must she react in return? These along with other concerns are critically worth considering, as their responses might not be identified by all. Islamic Marriage or Nikah is a socially or ritually known wedlock or legitimate contract between couples that secures rights and commitments between them, between them and their children, and between them and their in-laws. In Islam, wedlock is viewed both a social contract and a official contract. Negotiating and signing the commitment is a prerequisite of wedding under Islamic law, and certain conditions need to be upheld in order for it to be binding and recognized. This type of home encourages and protects equity and tranquility, and is a base of refuge full of tranquility, convenience, safety, and continuity.

In Arabic language engagement is known as khitbah. It is a promise of a man with the intention that he will wed a certain female. It is a form of settlement that serves as a beginning to the agreement of wedlock (nikah). Engagement (khitbah) is permissible legally. Alternatively, it is commendable (mustahsan).The legal wisdom behind the permissibility of engagement (khitbah) is to make the people of the the society established that such and such woman is attributed to such and such man. Consequently giving message for requesting her hand in wedlock (nikah) by another person is not correct.
Nikah is an spontaneous requirement of male and woman, and a means for the preservation of human being. Furthermore, not only is Nikah desired perfect, but its lifelong pleasure and safekeeping have actually ,, been stressed upon. Because of nikah, a girl who was initially disallowed to see, now not only becomes legitimate for sex-related connection, for her spouse but she, furthermore gets his soul-mate to express in each other's delights and sorrows.

The significance of Matrimony in Islam can be seen in the words of Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that "Anyone who marries has accomplished half of his faith. Therefore let him beware of Allah about the other half." Wedding (nikah) is recognized as an act of worship (ibadah). It is virtuous to perform it in a Mosque keeping the wedding ceremony simple. The wedding ceremony is a social as well as a religious exercise. Islam promotes simpleness in events and festivities. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) viewed simple marriages the best marriages: 'The best wedding ceremony is that where minimal problems and expense is bestowed".
Prerequisites of Islamic Nikah:

The Muslim Jurists have developed the following basic elements of a Islamic marriage agreement:

1- Agreement of the Parties
2- Payment of dower
3- Witnesses

Owing to juridical disparities among the Fuqaha (Islamic jurists), we could say that where jurists of any Mazhab identify the presence of a Wali (guardian) to be a condition for the credibility of the agreement, then this type of condition will be enforceable for the legality of the marriage agreement within that mazhab (Islamic legal school).

To prevent any possibility of misunderstandings it's best that the decided conditions and terms of the agreement be put down on paper. The document titled “Muslim Marriage Certificate” is made to notify and when required let the parties to safe their legal rights under the mutually decided agreement.
